The LV= Smoothed Pension difference
Within the LV= SIPP, your clients can access our Smoothed Managed Funds (SMF) as part of our core options range – via our Smoothed Pension.
Built to support better client outcomes, our risk-rated smoothed funds make suitability assessments straightforward, while a modern, transparent and proven smoothing mechanism helps dampen the effects of short-term market volatility. And because LV= is a mutual, your clients also benefit from added-value member benefits – delivering more than just investment performance.
The funds are designed for medium to long-term investment and should be held for at least five years, ideally 10. Although our smoothing process aims to reduce the impact of sudden market movements, it doesn't mean investments won't drop in value and it doesn't prevent losses in long-term falling markets, so your client could get back less than they paid in.
It's important to remember that smoothing can be suspended in exceptional circumstances to protect our members and our business. Please read the LV= Smoothed Managed Funds guide for more information.

Simple, transparent charges
Our Smoothed Pension is designed to keep costs clear and competitive. We offer an Annual Management Charge of just 0.80%, with fund size discounts available.
When clients invest 100% in our Smoothed Managed Funds through the LV= SIPP, the wrapper charge is reduced to just 0.15% — a substantial saving compared to standard SIPP costs. Please note a minimum £195 per annum wrapper charge applies.

Our risk-rated funds
The LV= Smoothed Managed Funds (SMF) offer five risk-rated funds: Extra Cautious, Cautious, Balanced, Growth and to Growth Plus. This allows you to tailor your recommendation based on each client’s goals, time horizon and comfort with investment risk, supporting more personalised and inclusive financial planning.
