Our Smoothed Managed Funds Trustee Investment Plan (TIP) is a single premium investment plan for Trustees of UK registered pension schemes.
The LV= TIP offers your clients access to our unique range of risk-rated multi-asset smoothed funds, designed to suit clients with a range of risk appetites and composures, as part of their existing Self-Invested Personal Pension (SIPP) or Small Self-Administered Scheme (SSAS).
- Our transparent smoothing mechanism, is based on real-world past performance, with averaged unit prices from day two of investment.
- Steady medium to long-term growth, with no unexpected price adjustments to date.
- A range of actively managed multi-asset funds, managed to our exacting mandate.
- Funds which are independently risk-rated by multiple agencies.
- Smoothed Managed TIP Cautious fund allows clients to buy an optional 10-year capital guarantee for added reassurance.
Product profile

- This is a with-profits plan so members will be eligible to participate in our distributions to with-profits policy holders and they will be eligible to receive a discretionary mutual bonus.
- Whilst there is no minimum or fixed term, we would expect an investment term of at least five years and ideally longer.
- Clients investing in the Cautious fund have the option to purchase a 10-year capital guarantee to lock in their investment value. Guarantees can be bought on initial and subsequent investments at the outset, or on the expiry of a previous guarantee, subject to availability.
- Smoothing can be suspended at our discretion. This may be in exceptional conditions or if the underlying price was 80% or less of the averaged price. If smoothing was suspended the funds may need to be valued using the underlying price. We also have discretion to use a daily gradual averaged price with an appropriate smoothing period of up to 26 weeks. - This is a stock market investment so your client isn’t certain to make a profit and may get back less than they invested.

Although it's unlikely, we may, at our discretion, need to suspend the smoothing mechanism to protect our members and our business. This could be required if the underlying daily fund price was less than 80% of the value of the smoothed price, or in other exceptional circumstances.
