LV= Strengthens Retirement Panel, adding Brooks Macdonald and LGT Vestra
LV= announces a new partnership with Brooks Macdonald and LGT Vestra, bringing the full list of leading discretionary fund managers on its Retirement panel to eight. This will help our customers to Live Confident, by providing a broader wealth of investment expertise to supplement customers’ pensions whilst making our platform easier for financial advisers to navigate.
LGT Vestra has offered wealth management services for 10 years with a wide range of asset classes and investment structures now accessible on the LV= Retirement platform. Similarly, Brooks Macdonald has provided support since 1991 to a wide range of clients with varying risk profiles: professional advisers, individuals, pension funds, institutions, charities and trusts. Both fund managers are highly regarded within the industry and are best placed to offer greater diversification and de-risking options when creating a portfolio for an LV= Self Invested Personal Pension (SIPP).
Andrew Gilbert, Head of Products & Propositions at LV= said, “As the needs of our customers grow, we must adapt and offer flexible solutions to aid those investing for their retirement. We welcome Brooks Macdonald and LGT Vestra into the fold as strategic partners, so that we can combine their investment knowledge with LV=’s known track record within the pensions market to provide the best portfolio options for our customers.
“Financial advisers will also benefit from reduced DFM management charges and timesaving features that make our platform much easier to use. Increasing our panel of DFMs will provide more flexible plans for LV= SIPPs, especially during a time of economic volatility.”
LV= was one of the first providers to offer advisers a DFM proposition in 2002 and has accumulated over 16 years of experience in this area. Our service aims to enable advisers to align investment expertise with pension and retirement expertise by providing advisers with up to date information and control of their clients’ portfolios and income planning.
Through our platform, advisers can check investment knowledge offered by our DFM partners, making it simpler to create a bespoke portfolio for clients, and can also access our unique cashflow management system and online Retirement View system. LV= recently reduced some of its DFM management charges by over a third, and set alongside the competitive terms available through our DFM partners, means advisers can give clients access to a flexible pension plan with a bespoke investment proposition for less than 1%.
The other fund managers on the LV= Retirement panel are Brewin Dolphin, Cazenove Capital Management, Quilter, Rathbones, Charles Stanley and Investec Wealth & Investment.
