Meet the team
Adam Ruddle
Chief Investment Officer
As Chief Investment Officer, Adam has responsibility for the investment management, allocation and optimisation of over £14bn of assets under management. His remit includes designing and setting investment strategies, managing group liquidity, the oversight of external asset managers and the structuring of physical and synthetic investment solutions for the company.
Adam has been with LV= since 2009, working in a range of roles including Asset Liability Management, Financial Reporting and Valuation, Capital Management and With-Profits oversight. He is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and holds the Chartered Enterprise Risk Actuary designation.
Ben Lockhart
Senior Investment Manager
Ben has a background in credit risk and analytics and has worked at LV= for 17 years in a variety of investment related roles. He currently leads the Investment Oversight function with responsibility for managing the relationships with LV’s external Asset Managers looking at all aspects of the relationships from the implementation of new investment strategies to performance and operations. Ben also leads on the investments for the groups Matching Adjustment portfolio and Commercial Mortgage activities.
Stuart Irwin
Senior Investment Manager
As the Head of Investment Strategy, Stuart leads the team responsible for the design and implementation of LV’s investment strategies. His remit includes the development of LV’s strategic asset allocations and sustainability strategy.
Stuart has been working in the investment industry since 2008, and has experience in Asset Management, Investment Consulting, and in-house Insurance Investment Management. Stuart has an MSc in Financial Economics and is a CFA Charter holder.
Alex Dale
Investment Actuary
As an Investment Actuary in the Investment Strategy Team, Alex contributes to the design and implementation of LV’s investment strategies. His remit includes the communication of investment performance and the development of LV’s strategic asset allocations.
Alex has been with LV= since 2016, working in a range of roles including Financial Reporting and Valuation, Asset Liability Management, and With-Profits oversight. He is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.
