LV= Adviser Panel comprise those advisers who’ve agreed to take part in an online research programme established by LV=.
The information below tells you how you may participate in the LV= Adviser Panel, including all tasks and activities available. Please read these terms and conditions (the "Terms") carefully before joining the LV= Adviser Panel and participating in any research tasks. By registering as a participant of the LV= Adviser Panel, you agree to be these Terms.
Please note that LV= may update and amend these Terms from time to time and the current version of these Terms will be posted online at the beginning of each research activity. It is your responsibility to ensure you review these Terms regularly to familiarise yourself with any changes. If you do not agree with any of the Terms, then you should not register or participate in any research tasks.
References to "you" or "your" mean you as a participant of the LV= Adviser Panel.
Who can register as a participant of the LV= Adviser Panel?
Participation is free and is open to financial advisers who are authorised by the FCA to advise on financial services and whose firm has terms of business with LV=. Only one registration per person is permitted.
How do you register as a participant of the LV= Adviser Panel?
In order to register as a participant of the LV= Adviser Panel, you will be asked to read and agree to these terms before providing us with information about yourself and your firm such as your name, your business email address, firm name, firm address, job role. You will then receive regular emails inviting you to take part in research activities. If there are any changes, please notify LV= at [email protected]. LV= reserves the right to decline a registration.
What will the research tasks relate to?
You will be asked a series of questions relating to LV= products and services. You may be also asked to tell us how in your opinion LV= products and services compare to those of other brands.
If you wish to submit any contribution to research tasks ("Submission"), you agree that any Submission you make must not contain wording that is defamatory, obscene offensive, threatening or abusive of any individual or group of individuals or infringes the intellectual rights of third parties.
How does LV= use your personal information?
Please read the LV= Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy which contain important information about how LV= use any personal information about you that is received through your registration to the LV= Adviser Panel and participation in research tasks.
How do we communicate with you?
To manage and administer research tasks and the LV= Adviser Panel and to allow LV= to fulfil our obligations (as applicable) to you under these Terms, we may communicate with you by email. You agree to receive communications from us electronically in this way, and that electronic communications will satisfy any legal requirement for communications to be in writing.
How might we terminate your LV= Adviser Panel participation?
LV= reserve the right to suspend or terminate your participation immediately and without notice at any time, at our sole and absolute discretion. This may be because, for example, we consider that you have breached these Terms or any other applicable terms.
We will inform you of termination by email, where we can.
How do you unsubscribe from emails and leave the LV= Adviser Panel?
Participation in any research task is optional and you can leave a research task at any time. You can unsubscribe from receiving emails about new research tasks at any time by:
Unsubscribing from emails
- click on the word ‘unsubscribe’ at the bottom of any emails you receive as a participant of the LV= Adviser Panel.
- send a request to unsubscribe from emails to us at [email protected]
- email our Data Protection Office at [email protected].
Once you have unsubscribed you will no longer receive any further email communications as a participant of the LV= Adviser Panel and will no longer be able to participate in future research tasks.
Your personal data and all user generated content will still be accessible to LV=. To see how long LV= will hold your data please see the LV= privacy policy. During this period of time your data may be used to:
- carry out statistical, technical and logistical analysis.
- anonymise information we collected from you in past research tasks. This anonymised information may then be combined with anonymised information from other participants of the LV= Adviser Panel all of which will be used for analysis purposes.
Thereafter, we will securely delete any personally identifiable information from all areas of the LV= Adviser Panel as soon as reasonably practical. However, LV= will retain a record of your email address and a deletion date. This is for the purpose of keeping a record of unsubscribes and to ensure you are not contacted again with an invite to join the LV= Adviser Panel or take part in future research tasks.
What are our obligations and limits on liability?
The LV= Adviser Panel and research tasks are provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis and may not be free from errors or omissions or free from viruses or other harmful components.
LV= make no guarantee that all or any features of the research tasks will work on any particular device.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LV= will not be liable in contract, tort, negligence or otherwise for any loss or damage whatsoever in any way connected with your use, misuse, or inability to participate in research tasks, including without limitation, any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, expenses or losses of whatever nature, including damage to software or hardware, loss of data, damage for loss of business, loss of profits, or any other indirect or consequential loss.
Nothing in these Terms will limit our liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence or our liability for fraudulent misrepresentation or misrepresentation as to a fundamental matter, or other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
Who operates the LV= Adviser Panel?
The LV= Adviser Panel is administered and managed by Liverpool Victoria Financial Services Limited a company registered in England under company number 12383237 whose registered office is at County Gates, Bournemouth, BH1 2NF and its subsidiary companies (“LV=”).
Who can use the intellectual property of LV=?
Nothing contained in these Terms grants you a license or a right to use any copyright, trademarks, design rights, patents or other intellectual property right owned or controlled by LV=, or our respective partners or any third party, except to the limited extent necessary to participate in research tasks.
What happens if there is a dispute about these Terms?
These Terms are available in English only and are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Disputes arising in connection with these Terms are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
